For dog owners near Brunswick, Topsham, and Bath, King K9 Academy is just a short drive up Route 1 or I-295 to our 15-acre working farm in Richmond, Maine. We offer board and train programs where every dog is trained personally by one trainer in an environment designed to build lasting, real-world obedience.

Brunswick is actually one of the towns our dogs visit on field trips during training. Your dog may practice their off-leash obedience, leash manners, and public behavior in the same downtown streets, bike paths and shops you walk through every day. That’s intentional: training that only works on the trainer’s property isn’t training that helps you at home.

Our farm setting includes working livestock, varied terrain, a training barn, and a confidence course — the kind of environment that challenges dogs in ways that a parking lot or indoor facility simply cannot. We take a maximum of three dogs at any time, and each one lives and trains here with me, not with a rotating staff.

We offer programs for puppies starting at 3 months and comprehensive off-leash obedience board and train for dogs 6 months and older. Every program includes professional equipment, owner transfer lessons, pick-up service, and ongoing support.
