Board & Train Programs Near Brunswick, ME
Brunswick and Bath dog owners are 25 minutes from a training environment that doesn’t exist anywhere else in Maine. I train every dog personally on a 15-acre working farm — and Brunswick is one of my regular field trip destinations. Your dog will practice obedience on the bike path, at Bowdoin College, and through downtown before they ever come home.

Q: Do you train dogs in Brunswick and Bath? Yes — and not just at the farm. Brunswick and Bath are regular field trip destinations during board and train. I walk dogs on the Brunswick bike path, work on the Bowdoin College campus, and take them through downtown Bath. By the time your dog comes home, they’ve already practiced their obedience in the places your life actually takes you — not just on my property.
Q: How far is King K9 Academy from Brunswick? About 25 minutes. I’m on a 15-acre working farm in Richmond, just north on I-295. Brunswick and Bath clients have one of the shortest drives in my service area. And for context — I regularly have clients travel from out of state to train here. People go out of their way to get to this facility because this kind of training environment is hard to find anywhere else in the region.
Q: Can I visit the farm before enrolling my dog? If you book a consultation or evaluation, you’ll come to the farm and see the property, the training areas, and how things run. I don’t do casual drop-in tours since I’m actively working with dogs throughout the day, but a scheduled visit gives you the full picture and a chance to talk about your dog in person.
Q: What programs do you offer and how much do they cost? I offer three board and train programs starting at $1,250, including options for puppies, on-leash obedience, and full off-leash obedience. I also run small group classes at the farm with a maximum of three dogs. All programs include owner transfer lessons and phone/email support, with options for professional equipment and pick-up service. With over 50 five-star reviews, we’re one of the most trusted dog training programs in midcoast Maine. Call (207) 248-7900 for a free consultation.
Q: What happens during field trips to Brunswick? Field trips are where training gets real. I’ll work your dog through downtown Brunswick, the bike path, Bowdoin College, and other public areas where they’ll encounter pedestrians, cyclists, other dogs, and unpredictable distractions. Bath gets the same treatment. The goal is making sure your dog’s obedience holds in the environments where it actually matters — not just on the training grounds. By graduation, your dog has been pressure-tested in the places you’ll actually take them.
